"Power to the Natural Hair Girls" Model & Actress Brittany Mason interview with Sadie Ingan

I had the pleasure of interviewing an incredibly talented model and actress changing the game in the fashion and film industry. Remember the name, Brittany S. Mason.

A career as a fashion model is both exciting and challenging. It requires a unique combination of physical attributes, personality, and determination to succeed. Fashion models are the faces of the fashion industry, and they play a vital role in showcasing the latest trends, designs to the world and grabbing viewers attention.. Fashion model Brittany Mason is doing just that working with companies who represent all, like Fenty Beauty and Alphabet. Inspiration from the iconic model Naomi Campbell heavily shaped Brittany into the humble, genuine, and passionate model she is today.

With my brief time getting to know Brittany, we were able to discuss some very important topics true to the heart. Us, being both people of color we complemented one another about embracing our natural hair.

Sadie: Power to the natural hair girls. It takes a lot of work and confidence.

Brittany: From 2009 to 2018 my step mom was the female figure in the household with 3A hair, so mostly straight and she didn’t want me wearing my hair in a fro.

Sadie: Some people of color want to have a certain type of hairstyle to fit in. Either straighten hair or extensions. Do you ever have to go through that?

Brittany: It took me buzzing off and wearing as is for people to be like, “oh that’s the person we want to cast.”

Modeling is a highly competitive industry, and aspiring models must be prepared to face rejection and criticism. It is essential to have a thick skin and remain confident in oneself. Even the most successful models face challenges and setbacks along the way. However, those who persevere and remain determined to succeed can build a long and rewarding career in the fashion industry.

Brittany is the true definition of beauty from within. Her confidence is radiant and will be making strides in this cut throat industry.
